Setting up 2-mail.com for your Android Device

Fastmail is an email hosting company based in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. The company was acquired by Opera Software in 2010 but became independent again in 2013 through a staff buyout. Its servers are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Seattle, Washington. How to set up 2-mail.com

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Settings Needed for Receiving E-mail

  1. Select the type of e-mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Some services may not provide both options! Refer to the table below for the correct parameters.
    • IMAP protocol stores the mails on the server, and it will show a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is the recommended protocol in almost all cases.
    • POP3 downloads the emails from the remote server and it will keep them on your Android phone.
  2. Type in the passphrase for your mail account and tap Next.
  3. Please see the table below to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Now click Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Configuration Needed for Sending Mail

  1. Once the settings are typed in, click Next.
  2. Turn on Require sign-in
  3. Please refer to the information below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
  4. Now tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
