
How to set up Cegetel.Net for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)
In this blog we will simply summarize how to set up Cegetel.Net using SMTP and POP and IMAP for your Samsung Galaxy (Android) in an easy to follow fashion!

Configuring Cegetel.Net
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add:
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't see your email service, select Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
Configuration Needed for Receiving Mail
- Select the type of email account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services support both protocols! You may want to check out the information below for possible parameters.
- IMAP keeps the emails on the server, and it will keep a cached copy on your device. IMAP is the recommended setting for most users.
- POP3 will download the emails from the remote server and it will keep them on your device.
- Enter the passphrase for your email account and tap Next.
- Please see the table below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
- Click Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.
Incoming E-mail Server (POP) Settings

| Username | Your e-mail address (i.e. [email protected]) |
| Authentication | Password |
| SSL/TLS | Try Both |
Incoming E-mail Server (IMAP) Settings
| Server Hostname | The hostname given by your service provider (usually imap.Cegetel.net or mail.Cegetel.net) |
| Server Port | 993 |
| Username | Your e-mail address (i.e. [email protected]) |
| Authentication | Password |
| SSL/TLS | Try Both |
Configuration Needed for Sending Mail (via SMTP)
- Once the settings are typed in, click Next.
- Check Require sign-in
- Please see the information below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
- Now tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
| Server Hostname | The hostname given by your service provider (usually smtp.Cegetel.net or mail.Cegetel.net) |
| Server Port | Usually 25 or 587 |
| Username | Your e-mail address (i.e. [email protected]) |
