Configuring Tinyonline.Co.Uk for an Android Phone

With this blog I will try to explain configuring Tinyonline.Co.Uk using SMTP and POP and IMAP for your Android Phone in a simple language.

Configuring Tinyonline.Co.Uk

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Setup Needed for Receiving Mail

  1. Choose the type of email account (POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Some services may not support both! Refer to the table below for possible protocols.
    • IMAP protocol keeps the mails on the server but it will display a copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended setting for almost all users.
    • POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will keep them on your device.
  2. Type the passphrase for the mail address and click Next.
  3. Use the table below to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Now tap Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.

Settings Needed for Receiving Email using POP

Settings Needed for Receiving Email using IMAP

Server HostnameThe hostname given by your service provider (usually imap.TINYONLINE.CO.UK or mail.TINYONLINE.CO.UK)
Server Port993
UsernameYour e-mail address (i.e. [email protected])
AuthenticationPassword
SSL/TLSTry Both

Settings Needed for Sending Email

  1. Once the settings are typed in, tap Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Refer to the table below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
  4. Tap Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
