How to configure Ukgateway.Net for an Android Tablet
With this article I will simply explain setting up Ukgateway.Net with SMTP and POP and IMAP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a straightforward fashion.

Setting up Ukgateway.Net:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add:
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't see your email service, select Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
Incoming Email Configuration
- Choose the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Some services may not support both protocols. Refer to the table below for available parameters.
- IMAP protocol stores the emails on the server, but it will display a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended for most users.
- POP3 will download the e-mails from the server and it will keep them on your device.
- Type the password for the mail address and tap Next.
- Refer to the following information to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
- Tap Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.
Incoming E-mail (POP) Settings
Server Hostname | The hostname given by your service provider (usually pop.UKGATEWAY.NET or mail.UKGATEWAY.NET) |
Server Port | 110 |
Username | Your e-mail address (i.e. [email protected]) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Try Both |
Incoming E-mail (IMAP) Settings
Server Hostname | The hostname given by your service provider (usually imap.UKGATEWAY.NET or mail.UKGATEWAY.NET) |
Server Port | 993 |
Username | Your e-mail address (i.e. [email protected]) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Try Both |
Outgoing E-mail Settings
- After you enter the parameters, tap Next.
- Check Require sign-in
- Please see the table below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
- Tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
Server Hostname | The hostname given by your service provider (usually smtp.UKGATEWAY.NET or mail.UKGATEWAY.NET) |
Server Port | Usually 25 or 587 |
Username | Your e-mail address (i.e. [email protected]) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Try Both |
