Configuring Alice:

It is possible that the Mail app will find your e-mail settings itself and complete setting up your account. Apply the following steps first to find out if it will:

  1. Go to Settings > Mail, and click Accounts
  2. Tap Add Account > Other then click Add Mail Account
  3. Type your name (can be any name), email address, password and a description for your account
  4. Tap Next. The Mail app will try to find the mail settings and finish your account setup. If Mail finds the e-mail configuration, tap Done to complete your setup.

In case Mail couldn't find your mail configuration, then you need to enter them manually. We think you may need the information below:

Incoming E-mail (IMAP) Configuration

Server Hostnamein.alice.it
Server Port143
UsernameYour username (do not include the part after the @ sign)
AuthenticationPassword
SSL/TLSNo

Outgoing E-mail Settings (using SMTP)

Server Hostnameout.alice.it
Server Port587
UsernameYour username (do not include the part after the @ sign)
AuthenticationPassword
SSL/TLSNo

Tap Next, then follow these steps:

  1. Select either IMAP or POP If you are not sure which one to select, contact Alice
  2. Type in the information (You might want to refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next
  3. If the e-mail configuration is correct, tap Save to complete the setup. If your mail setup is incorrect, Mail will ask you to modify the configuration.
  4. If you still can't setup the e-mail account or save your e-mail settings, contact Alice.
