How to configure Asia.apple.com for an iPad/iPhone

With this post I will summarize how to setup Asia.apple.com using IMAP and SMTP in a simple fashion.

Setting up Asia.apple.com:

Mail app can find the email configuration automatically, and configure your account. Follow these steps in order to find out if that is possible:

  1. Go to Settings > Mail then tap Accounts.
  2. Click Add Account, tap Other, then tap Add Mail Account.
  3. Type your name (can be any name), email address, your password with a description for your account.
  4. Click Next. The Mail app should now try and find the mail settings and complete your account setup. If the Mail app finds the e-mail parameter, click Done to complete your setup.

In case the Mail app hasn't been able to automatically set up your account, then you have to enter them manually. You will need the following information:

Settings Needed for Sending E-mail (using SMTP)

Tap Next, then follow these steps:

  1. Select IMAP or POP for your new account. If you aren't certain which one to choose, contact Asia.apple.com.
  2. Enter the required details (You will have a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next.
  3. If the e-mail settings are correct, click Save to complete . If the e-mail settings are incorrect, Mail will ask you to edit the configuration
  4. If you still aren't able to setup your e-mail account or store your e-mail settings, contact your e-mail provider.
