How to setup Belgacom.net
Mail may find your e-mail configuration itself and complete setting up your account. Apply the following steps first to find out if it will:
- Open Settings, then Mail, then click Accounts
- Click Add Account, click Other then click Add Mail Account
- Type your name (can be any name), email address, password and a description for account.
- Tap Next. The Mail app should try to find the email configuration and finish your account setup. If the Mail app finds your email parameter, tap Done to finish your setup.
If Mail can't automatically set up your account, it means that you need to enter them yourself. I think you may find the table below useful:
Outgoing Mail Settings (via SMTP)
Server Hostname | relay.proximus.be |
Server Port | 587 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Settings
Server Hostname | imap.proximus.be |
Server Port | 993 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Choose either IMAP or POP for your new account If you are not certain which one to select, contact Belgacom.net
- Type in the information (You might want to take a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next
- If your mail settings are correct, click Save to complete . If the email setup is incorrect, you'll be asked to edit them.
- In case you still aren't able to setup the email account, or store your settings, contact Belgacom.net.
