How to set up Chartertn.net for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

Setting up Chartertn.net

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Configuration Needed for Receiving Email

1. Select the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Some services may not support both! Please check out the information below for possible protocols.
   • IMAP will store the emails on the server and it will display a copy on your device. IMAP is recommended for almost all users.
   • POP3 will download the e-mails from the server and it will store them on your Android phone.
2. Enter the password for the e-mail account and tap Next.
3. Use the following information in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
4. Click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Setup Needed for Receiving E-mail using IMAP

Outgoing E-mail Setup (using SMTP)

1. After you type in the configuration, tap Next.
2. Enable Require sign-in
3. Please see the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
4. Now click Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
