Configuring Chello.at

Mail can find your parameters automatically, and complete setting up your account. Follow these steps first in order to find out if it can:

  1. Open Settings, then Mail and click Accounts.
  2. Tap Add Account, tap Other then tap Add Mail Account.
  3. Type in your name (can be any name), email address, your password with a description for account.
  4. Tap Next. The Mail app will now try and find the email parameters and complete your account setup. If the Mail app finds your e-mail settings, tap Done to complete your account setup.

If the Mail app couldn't find your e-mail configuration, then you will have to enter them yourself. I think you will find the following table useful:

Configuration Needed for Sending E-mail (via SMTP)

Server Hostnamemail.upcmail.at
Server Port465
UsernameYour username (do not include the part after the @ sign)
AuthenticationPassword
SSL/TLSYes

Incoming E-mail (IMAP) Setup

Server Hostnamemail.upcmail.at
Server Port993
UsernameYour username (do not include the part after the @ sign)
AuthenticationPassword
SSL/TLSYes

Tap Next, then follow these steps:

  1. Choose IMAP or POP If you don't know which one to choose, contact Chello.at
  2. Type in the required details (You may want to refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next
  3. If the mail configuration is correct, tap Save to finish . If your email configuration is incorrect, the app will ask you to edit them
  4. In case you still are not able to set up the e-mail account, or save the settings, contact your email provider.
