Configuring Chello.at
Mail can find your parameters automatically, and complete setting up your account. Follow these steps first in order to find out if it can:
- Open Settings, then Mail and click Accounts.
- Tap Add Account, tap Other then tap Add Mail Account.
- Type in your name (can be any name), email address, your password with a description for account.
- Tap Next. The Mail app will now try and find the email parameters and complete your account setup. If the Mail app finds your e-mail settings, tap Done to complete your account setup.
If the Mail app couldn't find your e-mail configuration, then you will have to enter them yourself. I think you will find the following table useful:
Configuration Needed for Sending E-mail (via SMTP)
Server Hostname | mail.upcmail.at |
Server Port | 465 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Incoming E-mail (IMAP) Setup
Server Hostname | mail.upcmail.at |
Server Port | 993 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Choose IMAP or POP If you don't know which one to choose, contact Chello.at
- Type in the required details (You may want to refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next
- If the mail configuration is correct, tap Save to finish . If your email configuration is incorrect, the app will ask you to edit them
- In case you still are not able to set up the e-mail account, or save the settings, contact your email provider.
