How to configure Claro Uruguay for your Android Phone

Setting up Claro Uruguay

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Server Configuration

1. Choose the type of email account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Some services may not support both protocols! Refer to the table below for possible parameters.
   • IMAP protocol stores the mails on the server, but it will display a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is recommended in almost all cases.
   • POP3 will download the e-mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your Android device.
2. Type in the passphrase for your e-mail account and tap Next.
3. Refer to the following table in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
4. Tap Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Incoming Mail (POP) Settings

Outgoing Mail Server Settings (via SMTP)

1. Once the parameters are typed in, tap Next.
2. Check Require sign-in
3. Please refer to the table below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
4. Click Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
