Setting up Eftel.net.au for your Android Tablet

Eftel Limited is an internet service provider and telecommunications provider in Australia, with approximately 120,000 active accounts. It was established in 1999. Eftel offers a range of services including: DSL and dial-up Internet access, web hosting and telephony services - to the retail, corporate and wholesale telecommunications markets. Setting up Eftel.net.au

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Server Configuration

  1. Select the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Some services may not support both protocols. Please check out the information below for available parameters.
    • IMAP protocol stores the e-mails on the server and it will keep a copy on your Android phone. IMAP is recommended in almost all cases.
    • POP3 will download the e-mails from the server and it will keep them on your Android phone.
  2. Type in the passphrase for the mail account and tap Next.
  3. Refer to the following information in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Click Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.

Outgoing E-mail Settings (via SMTP)

  1. After you type in the settings, you can click Next.
  2. Check Require sign-in
  3. Please see the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.
