How to set up Netvision for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

In this blog I will demonstrate configuring Netvision with POP and SMTP for your Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a simple way!

Configuring Netvision

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Settings Needed for Receiving Mail

  1. Select the type of email account (POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services provide both options. Refer to the table below for the correct protocols.
    • IMAP will store the emails on the server and it will keep a copy on your device. IMAP is recommended in almost all cases.
    • POP3 will download the e-mails from the server and it will store them on your device.
  2. Type the password for your mail address and click Next.
  3. Please use the table below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Tap Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.

Configuration Needed for Sending Email (via SMTP)

  1. Once the settings are entered, you can click Next.
  2. Turn on Require sign-in
  3. Please see the information below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.
