
How to configure elitemail.org for an Android Phone
With this article I will try to teach you setting up elitemail.org with IMAP and SMTP for your Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a straightforward language!
First, a few words about elitemail.org:
Fastmail is an email hosting company based in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. The company was acquired by Opera Software in 2010 but became independent again in 2013 through a staff buyout. Its servers are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Seattle, Washington. Setting up elitemail.org:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add:
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't see your email service, select Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
Incoming Mail Server Configuration
- Choose the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Some services may not support both. Please refer to the table below for possible parameters.
- IMAP will keep the emails on the server and it will show a copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended protocol for most users.
- POP3 will download the emails from the server and it will store them on your Android device.
- Type the password for your mail account and tap Next.
- Refer to the following information to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
- Now tap Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.

Outgoing E-mail Server Settings (via SMTP)
- After you enter the parameters, tap Next.
- Select Require sign-in
- Please see the information below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
- Now click Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.
