Configuring Escape.ca for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

Setting up Escape.ca:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Server Configuration

1. Choose the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services provide both protocols. Please see the table below for available settings.
   • IMAP protocol keeps the e-mails on the server, but it will show a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended in most cases.
   • POP3 downloads the emails from the remote server and it will keep them on your device.
2. Enter the passphrase for your e-mail address and tap Next.
3. Please see the information below to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Settings

Outgoing Mail Server Settings (via SMTP)

1. After you enter the settings, you can click Next.
2. Check Require sign-in
3. Please see the following information in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
4. Tap Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.
