With this blog we will try to demonstrate how to setup fastmail.to with IMAP and SMTP in a straightforward fashion.
First, a few words about fastmail.to
Fastmail is an email hosting company based in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. The company was acquired by Opera Software in 2010 but became independent again in 2013 through a staff buyout. Its servers are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Seattle, Washington. How to configure fastmail.to
Mail app can find the email parameters itself and set up your account. Apply these steps in order to try:
- Go to Settings > Mail then tap Accounts.
- Click Add Account > Other, then click Add Mail Account.
- Type in your name, your email address, password with a description for account.
- Tap Next. Mail will try to find the mail settings and finish setting your account. If Mail finds the email configuration, tap Done to finish your account setup.

- Select IMAP or POP for your new account. If you don't know which one to select, contact fastmail.to.
- Type in the details (You may refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next
- If the e-mail setup is correct, tap Save to finish . If the mail setup is incorrect, Mail will ask you to modify those settings.
