Configuring Fibreop.ca:
Mail may find the e-mail parameters itself and complete setting up your account. Apply the following steps to find out if it can:
- Open Settings, then Mail, and tap Accounts
- Click Add Account, then Other then click Add Mail Account
- Type your name, email address, password then a description for account.
- Tap Next. The Mail app will now try to find the email settings and complete your account setup. If Mail finds the e-mail settings, tap Done to finish your setup.
If Mail couldn't find your email configuration, it means that you have to enter them yourself. We think you may need the information below:
Incoming E-mail Server (POP) Settings
Server Hostname | pop.fibreop.ca |
Server Port | 110 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | No |
Outgoing Mail Configuration (via SMTP)
Server Hostname | smtp.fibreop.ca |
Server Port | 2225 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | No |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Choose either IMAP or POP. If you don't know which one to opt for, contact Fibreop.ca
- Type in the information (You might refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next.
- If your e-mail settings are correct, tap Save to complete the setup. If the e-mail setup is incorrect, the Mail app will ask you to edit those settings.
- If you still aren't able to configure the email account or store your email settings, contact your provider.
