Setting up Freenet.de for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

Configuring Freenet.de

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Mail Setup

1. Select the type of email account (POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services support both. Refer to the table below for possible parameters.
   • IMAP will store the e-mails on the server, and it will keep a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended in almost all cases.
   • POP3 downloads the e-mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your Android device.
2. Type in the passphrase for your email account and click Next.
3. Refer to the following table in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
4. Click Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.

Incoming E-mail Server (IMAP) Settings

Outgoing E-mail Server Settings

1. After you type in the configuration, click Next.
2. Select Require sign-in
3. Refer to the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
4. Click Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
