Setting up Freenet.de for an iOS Device

Configuring Freenet.de

Mail can find your email configuration itself then set up your account. Follow these steps in order to see if that is possible:

1. Open Settings, then Mail and click Accounts.
2. Click Add Account, then Other and click Add Mail Account.
3. Enter your name (can be any name), email address, your password then a description for your account.
4. Tap Next. The Mail app should try to find the e-mail settings and set up your account. If the Mail app finds your e-mail configuration, tap Done to complete your setup.

If the Mail app didn't automatically set up your account, it means that you need to enter them yourself. I think you will need the following information:

Incoming E-mail (IMAP) Configuration

Outgoing E-mail Configuration (via SMTP)

Tap Next, then follow these steps:

1. Choose IMAP or POP If you don't know which one to opt for, contact Freenet.de
2. Type the details (You will want to refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next.
3. If the mail settings are correct, click Save to complete . If the e-mail settings are incorrect, you'll be asked to edit the configuration.
4. If you still aren't able to configure the account or store the e-mail settings, contact the provider.
