Configuring gawab.com:
It is possible that Mail will find your e-mail parameters itself, then set up your account. Follow these steps first in order to find out if it can:
- Go to Settings > Mail then click Accounts
- Click Add Account, tap Other then tap Add Mail Account.
- Enter your name (can be any name), email address, your password then a description for account.
- Click Next. The Mail app will now try and find the e-mail parameters and finish your account setup. If Mail finds your email configuration, tap Done to complete your account setup.
In case the Mail app can't automatically set up your account, it means that you will need to enter them manually. I think you will find the following information useful:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Settings
Server Hostname | imap.gawab.com |
Server Port | 993 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Outgoing Mail Settings
Server Hostname | smtp.gawab.com |
Server Port | 587 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Select IMAP or POP for your new account If you don't know which one to choose, contact gawab.com
- Type in the required details (You will want to refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next.
- If your mail settings are correct, click Save to finish the setup. If your e-mail settings are incorrect, you'll be asked to modify the configuration.
- In case you still aren't able to configure the account, or store your e-mail settings, contact the provider.
