How to set up Genesee-id.com for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

Configuring Genesee-id.com:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Settings Required for Receiving Mail

1. Select the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services provide both options. You may want to check out the table below for available settings.
   • IMAP protocol stores the emails on the server, but it will show a copy on your device. IMAP is recommended for almost all users.
   • POP3 will download the emails from the server and it will store them on your device.
2. Type the passphrase for your mail account and tap Next.
3. Use the following information in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
4. Click Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Incoming Mail Server (IMAP) Configuration

Configuration Required for Sending Email (via SMTP)

1. Once the settings are entered, you can click Next.
2. Enable Require sign-in
3. Please see the table below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
4. Click Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.
