How to set up Gmx.biz for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

Setting up Gmx.biz:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Settings Required for Receiving Email

1. Select the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services provide both protocols. Refer to the table below for the correct settings.
   • IMAP protocol will keep the emails on the server and it will show a cached copy on your device. IMAP is the recommended setting in almost all cases.
   • POP3 downloads the emails from the server and it will keep them on your Android device.
2. Type in the password for the email account and click Next.
3. Please see the table below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
4. Click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Configuration Required for Receiving E-mail via POP

Outgoing Mail Configuration (using SMTP)

1. Once the parameters are filled in, you can click Next.
2. Check Require sign-in
3. Refer to the following table in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
4. Click Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.
