How to configure Gmx.eu for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

Configuring Gmx.eu:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Mail Server Setup

1. Choose the type of email account (POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services support both. Refer to the information below for available protocols.
   • IMAP will keep the mails on the server, but it will keep a cached copy on your device. IMAP is the recommended setting in almost all cases.
   • POP3 will download the emails from the server and it will store them on your Android phone.
2. Type in the passphrase for the e-mail address and click Next.
3. Please see the following information to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
4. Tap Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Incoming Mail Server (IMAP) Setup

Outgoing Mail Server Setup (via SMTP)

1. Once the parameters are filled in, click Next.
2. Enable Require sign-in
3. Please use the following table in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
4. Now click Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.
