Configuring Hawaiiantel.net for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

With this post we will explain configuring Hawaiiantel.net using IMAP and SMTP for your Android Tablet in a simple way.

Setting up Hawaiiantel.net:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Setup Required for Receiving Email

  1. Choose the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Some services may not support both options! You may want to see the information below for the correct protocols.
    • IMAP protocol keeps the emails on the server but it will show a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is the recommended protocol for most users.
    • POP3 will download the emails from the remote server and it will keep them on your Android device.
  2. Type the password for the email address and click Next.
  3. Please see the following information to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Click Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Settings Required for Sending E-mail (using SMTP)

  1. Once the parameters are entered, tap Next.
  2. Turn on Require sign-in
  3. Please refer to the table below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
