Setting up Jcom.home.ne.jp
It is possible that the Mail app will find your email parameters automatically and set up your account. Follow the following steps first in order to find out if that is possible:
- Open Settings, then Mail and click Accounts.
- Tap Add Account > Other, then tap Add Mail Account
- Type in your name (can be any name), your email address, password then a description for your account
- Click Next. The Mail app will now try and find the mail configuration and set up your account. If the Mail app finds the email parameter, tap Done to finish your account setup.
If the Mail app didn't automatically set up your account, then you have to enter them manually. You will need the information below:
Setup Needed for Receiving Email via IMAP
Server Hostname | imap.jcom.zaq.ne.jp |
Server Port | 993 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Configuration Needed for Sending E-mail (using SMTP)
Server Hostname | smtpa.jcom.zaq.ne.jp |
Server Port | 465 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Choose IMAP or POP If you don't know which one to select, contact Jcom.home.ne.jp.
- Type in the required information (You may want to have a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next.
- If the email configuration is correct, click Save to finish the setup. If your mail configuration is incorrect, the Mail app will ask you to edit the configuration.
- In case you still aren't able to set up the email account, or save your settings, contact the email provider.
