How to configure Kimo.com for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

With this blog we will try to demonstrate how to setup Kimo.com using IMAP and SMTP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a simple fashion!

Configuring Kimo.com:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Configuration Required for Receiving Mail

  1. Choose the type of email account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services provide both options. Refer to the information below for possible protocols.
    • IMAP will store the e-mails on the server but it will display a copy on your device. IMAP is the recommended protocol for almost all users.
    • POP3 downloads the e-mails from the server and it will keep them on your device.
  2. Type in the password for your e-mail account and tap Next.
  3. Refer to the information below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Click Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.

Settings Needed for Sending Mail (using SMTP)

  1. Once the parameters are filled in, you can click Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Refer to the information below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Now tap Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.
