Setting up mailservice.ms for your iPad/iPhone
In this article I will summarize how to set up mailservice.ms using IMAP and SMTP in a simple language!
What is mailservice.ms
Fastmail is an email hosting company based in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to its Fastmail-branded services, the company also operates Topicbox, a mailing list service, and Pobox, an email service it acquired in 2015. The company was acquired by Opera Software in 2010 but became independent again in 2013 through a staff buyout. Its servers are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Seattle, Washington. How to setup mailservice.ms
Mail may find the e-mail parameters automatically, then configure your account. Apply these steps in order to find out if that is possible:
- Open Settings, then Mail, and tap Accounts
- Tap Add Account > Other and tap Add Mail Account
- Enter your name, your email address, your password then a description for account
- Click Next. Mail should now try and find the mail parameters and set up your account. If Mail finds the e-mail settings, click Done to complete your setup.
If Mail couldn't find your e-mail settings, it means that you will have to enter them yourself. You may need the following information:
Setup Needed for Receiving Email using IMAP

Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Choose either IMAP or POP. If you don't know which one to choose, contact mailservice.ms
- Enter the details (You might want to refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next.
- If the e-mail configuration is correct, click Save to complete the setup. If your mail configuration is incorrect, Mail will ask you to modify them.
- If you still aren't able to configure your account, or save your e-mail settings, contact the provider.
