Setting up Nctc.com for your Android Phone

In this post we will try to demonstrate setting up Nctc.com using IMAP and SMTP for your Android Phone in a straightforward language.

Setting up Nctc.com

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Server Setup

  1. Select the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services support both options! Refer to the table below for possible settings.
    • IMAP keeps the mails on the server but it will show a copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended protocol in almost all cases.
    • POP3 downloads the mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your device.
  2. Type in the password for your e-mail account and click Next.
  3. Please see the following table in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Now click Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Configuration Required for Sending Mail (using SMTP)

  1. Once the parameters are typed in, you can tap Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Please refer to the information below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Tap Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.
