Setting up Netaachen.de:
Mail may find your e-mail settings itself, then configure your account. Apply these steps to try:
- Open Settings, then Mail, then click Accounts
- Tap Add Account, click Other, and click Add Mail Account.
- Type your name, email address, your password and a description for your account
- Tap Next. Mail should now try to find the email parameters and set up your account. If the Mail app finds the e-mail parameter, tap Done to complete your setup.
If Mail hasn't been able to find your e-mail parameters, it means that you have to enter them yourself. I think you may need the information below:
Configuration Needed for Receiving Mail via IMAP
Server Hostname | imap.netaachen.de |
Server Port | 143 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Outgoing Mail Settings (using SMTP)
Server Hostname | smtp.netaachen.de |
Server Port | 587 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Choose either IMAP or POP for your new account If you don't know which one to select, contact Netaachen.de.
- Enter the information (You will refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next.
- If your mail configuration is correct, tap Save to finish . If the mail settings are incorrect, the Mail app will ask you to edit those settings
- If you still are not able to configure your e-mail account, or store the e-mail settings, contact the e-mail provider.
