How to set up NetCom Norway for your Android Device

Setting up NetCom Norway

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Server Settings

1. Select the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services support both protocols. You may want to see the table below for possible settings.
   • IMAP protocol stores the e-mails on the server, but it will show a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended for almost all users.
   • POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will store them on your device.
2. Type in the password for your e-mail account and tap Next.
3. Please see the following information to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
4. Tap Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Settings

Configuration Required for Sending E-mail (via SMTP)

1. After you type in the configuration, you can tap Next.
2. Select Require sign-in
3. Please see the table below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
4. Click Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.
