How to configure Orangemail.jo for your Android Phone

With this post we will try to summarize how to set up Orangemail.jo with POP and SMTP for your Android Device in a simple way.

It is the 11th largest mobile network operator in the world and the 4th largest in Europe after Vodafone, Telefónica, Deutsche Telekom. In 2015, the group had revenue of €40 billion. How to configure Orangemail.jo:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Settings

  1. Choose the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services support both. Please refer to the table below for available parameters.
    • IMAP stores the e-mails on the server, and it will display a copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended in most cases.
    • POP3 will download the emails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android device.
  2. Type in the passphrase for your mail address and tap Next.
  3. Please see the following information in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Click Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.

Outgoing Mail Setup (via SMTP)

  1. After you enter the settings, you can tap Next.
  2. Check Require sign-in
  3. Please see the table below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.
