Configuring Pacbell.net for your iPad/iPhone

How to setup Pacbell.net:

Mail app may find your e-mail configuration automatically, and complete setting up your account. Follow the following steps first to see if that is possible:

1. Open Settings, then Mail, and tap Accounts.
2. Tap Add Account > Other and tap Add Mail Account
3. Enter your name (can be any name), email address, password then a description for account
4. Tap Next. Mail should try and find the email parameters and complete setting your account. If the Mail app finds the email parameter, click Done to complete your setup.

In case Mail hasn't been able to find your e-mail configuration, it means that you have to enter them manually. I think you may need the following information:

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Settings

Settings Needed for Sending Mail (via SMTP)

Tap Next, then follow these steps:

1. Select either IMAP or POP for your new account If you are not certain which one to choose, contact Pacbell.net.
2. Type in the details (You might want to refer to the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Next.
3. If the mail configuration is correct, click Save to finish . If the mail settings are incorrect, you'll be asked to modify the configuration
4. If you still can't configure your email account or save your e-mail settings, contact Pacbell.net.
