Configuring qq.com for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

With this article we will try to summarize setting up qq.com with IMAP and SMTP for your Android Device in a straightforward way.

Setting up qq.com:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Setup Required for Receiving Email

  1. Choose the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services support both protocols. You may want to refer to the table below for available settings.
    • IMAP will keep the emails on the server but it will display a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is recommended in most cases.
    • POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will store them on your device.
  2. Type the passphrase for your e-mail address and tap Next.
  3. Please use the following information in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

  1. Once the parameters are typed in, you can tap Next.

  4. Now click Next. If you see an error, click the Edit Settings button.
