How to set up Starhub.net.sg:
Mail may find the e-mail parameters automatically then configure your account. Follow these steps in order to find out if it will:
- Open Settings, then Mail, then tap Accounts
- Tap Add Account > Other and tap Add Mail Account.
- Type your name (can be any name), email address, password and a description for your account.
- Click Next. Mail will try and find the mail configuration and set up your account. If Mail finds the email settings, tap Done to finish your account setup.
If Mail can't find your email configuration, then you need to enter them manually. I think you may need the following information:
Configuration Needed for Receiving E-mail using POP
Server Hostname | pop.gmail.com |
Server Port | 995 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Configuration Needed for Sending E-mail (via SMTP)
Server Hostname | smtp.gmail.com |
Server Port | 587 |
Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | Password |
SSL/TLS | Yes |
Tap Next, then follow these steps:
- Choose either IMAP or POP for your new account. If you are not sure which one to opt for, contact Starhub.net.sg
- Type the required details (You might want to take a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next
- If the mail settings are correct, tap Save to finish . If your mail configuration is incorrect, you will be asked to edit them.
- In case you still aren't able to configure your e-mail account or save the e-mail settings, contact Starhub.net.sg.
