How to configure Sunrise.ch for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

Configuring Sunrise.ch:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Configuration Required for Receiving Mail

1. Choose the type of email account (POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services support both options! Please refer to the table below for possible parameters.
   • IMAP will store the mails on the server but it will show a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended protocol for most users.
   • POP3 downloads the e-mails from the server and it will keep them on your device.
2. Type in the passphrase for the mail account and click Next.
3. Please see the following information in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
4. Now click Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.

Setup Required for Receiving Email via IMAP

Settings Needed for Sending E-mail (using SMTP)

1. After you type in the parameters, click Next.
2. Turn on Require sign-in
3. Refer to the table below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
4. Click Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.
