Setting up Swissonline.ch:

Mail app can find your e-mail parameters itself, and complete setting up your account. Follow these steps to see if that is possible:

  1. Go to Settings > Mail then click Accounts
  2. Click Add Account, then Other, then click Add Mail Account.
  3. Enter your name, email address, your password and a description for your account.
  4. Click Next. The Mail app will now try to find the email settings and complete your account setup. If the Mail app finds your e-mail settings, tap Done to finish your setup.

In case the Mail app hasn't been able to automatically set up your account, it means that you have to enter them manually. We think you will need the following information:

Setup Needed for Receiving E-mail via IMAP

Outgoing E-mail Server Setup (via SMTP)

Server Hostnamesmtp.hispeed.ch

UsernameYour username (do not include the part after the @ sign)

Tap Next, then follow these steps:

  1. Select IMAP or POP for your new account If you don't know which one to opt for, contact Swissonline.ch.
  2. Enter the required information (You will want to take a look at the table above) for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then click Next.
  3. If your mail settings are correct, click Save to complete the setup. If the mail settings are incorrect, Mail will ask you to modify those settings.
  4. If you still can't configure your account or store your email settings, contact your e-mail provider.
