Configuring Sympatico for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

How to configure Sympatico

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Email Server Configuration

1. Choose the type of e-mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services support both protocols! Refer to the table below for the correct protocols.
   • IMAP protocol keeps the mails on the server and it will display a copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended in almost all cases.
   • POP3 will download the emails from the server and it will store them on your Android phone.
2. Enter the password for your email address and tap Next.
3. Please refer to the following table to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
4. Tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

1. Once the settings are typed in, you can tap Next.
2. Check Require sign-in
3. Please refer to the information below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
4. Now click Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
