Configuring T-com.kr for an Android Tablet

With this blog I will simply teach you configuring T-com.kr using POP and SMTP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in an easy to follow language.

Configuring T-com.kr:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Mail Configuration

  1. Choose the type of email account (POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Some services may not support both options! Please refer to the information below for possible parameters.
    • IMAP protocol will store the mails on the server, and it will show a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is recommended for most users.
    • POP3 downloads the emails from the server and it will store them on your Android device.
  2. Type in the passphrase for your email account and click Next.
  3. Refer to the information below to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Now click Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.

Settings Needed for Sending Email (using SMTP)

  1. After you type in the settings, tap Next.
  2. Select Require sign-in
  3. Please use the information below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Now tap Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.
