Setting up T-com.si for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

In this blog I will demonstrate how to setup T-com.si using POP and SMTP for your Samsung Galaxy (Android) in an easy to follow language.

Configuring T-com.si

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Configuration Needed for Receiving Mail

  1. Select the type of email account (POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services support both options! You may want to see the table below for available parameters.
    • IMAP protocol will keep the emails on the server, and it will display a copy on your Android phone. IMAP is recommended in almost all cases.
    • POP3 downloads the e-mails from the server and it will keep them on your Android device.
  2. Type the passphrase for the email account and click Next.
  3. Refer to the information below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Configuration Needed for Sending E-mail (via SMTP)

  1. After you type in the settings, click Next.
  2. Select Require sign-in
  3. Please refer to the table below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
  4. Tap Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.
