How to configure Tango Mail for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

With this blog we will simply demonstrate how to set up Tango Mail using IMAP and SMTP for an Android Device in a simple fashion.

Configuring Tango Mail:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming E-mail Setup

  1. Choose the type of email account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services support both options! You may want to check out the information below for possible parameters.
    • IMAP will keep the emails on the server and it will display a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended for most users.
    • POP3 downloads the e-mails from the remote server and it will store them on your device.
  2. Enter the password for the email account and click Next.
  3. Use the information below to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Tap Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Settings Needed for Sending Mail (using SMTP)

  1. After you type in the parameters, click Next.
  2. Select Require sign-in
  3. Use the table below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Now click Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
