How to set up Three.com.au for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

In this post we will simply demonstrate configuring Three.com.au with POP and SMTP for your Android Device in an easy to follow fashion!

Setting up Three.com.au

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Configuration Needed for Receiving Email

  1. Select the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services provide both protocols! You may want to refer to the table below for possible settings.
    • IMAP will store the mails on the server but it will display a copy on your device. IMAP is recommended in most cases.
    • POP3 downloads the emails from the server and it will keep them on your device.
  2. Enter the passphrase for your mail address and tap Next.
  3. Please refer to the information below to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Configuration Required for Sending Email (using SMTP)

  1. After you type in the settings, you can tap Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Refer to the information below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
  4. Tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
