How to set up Tm.net.my for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

In this article I will simply demonstrate how to setup Tm.net.my using POP and SMTP for an Android Device in an easy to follow fashion!

Setting up Tm.net.my:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Mail Setup

  1. Select the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services support both! You may want to refer to the information below for available parameters.
    • IMAP protocol keeps the mails on the server, but it will keep a copy on your Android device. IMAP is the recommended setting for almost all users.
    • POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will keep them on your Android device.
  2. Enter the password for the e-mail account and click Next.
  3. Please refer to the following table in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.

Incoming E-mail Server (POP) Setup

Outgoing E-mail Configuration

  1. Once the settings are filled in, you can tap Next.
  2. Turn on Require sign-in
  3. Use the following table in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
  4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
