Setting up Upcmail.ie for an Android Phone

Configuring Upcmail.ie:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Settings Required for Receiving Mail

1. Select the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Some services may not support both options! Please refer to the information below for available settings.
   • IMAP will keep the e-mails on the server but it will display a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is recommended for almost all users.
   • POP3 downloads the e-mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your Android device.
2. Type the password for the email account and tap Next.
3. Please refer to the following table in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
4. Tap Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Configuration Required for Receiving Email using IMAP

Configuration Required for Sending Email (using SMTP)

1. Once the settings are typed in, tap Next.
2. Turn on Require sign-in
3. Use the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
4. Now click Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
