Setting up Upcmail.sk for an Android Phone

In this article I will try to teach you how to configure Upcmail.sk with IMAP and SMTP for an Android Tablet in a simple language.

Configuring Upcmail.sk:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Settings Required for Receiving Mail

  1. Select the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Some services may not provide both options. Refer to the information below for the correct protocols.
    • IMAP protocol will store the e-mails on the server but it will display a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended setting for most users.
    • POP3 will download the mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your Android device.
  2. Type in the password for your mail address and tap Next.
  3. Refer to the following table in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
  4. Now tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Outgoing Mail Configuration (using SMTP)

  1. After you type the parameters, click Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Refer to the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Now tap Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.
