Setting up Virginmedia.com for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)
In this article we will try to demonstrate configuring Virginmedia.com using IMAP and SMTP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in an easy to follow fashion!

Setting up Virginmedia.com:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add:
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't see your email service, select Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
Settings Required for Receiving Email
- Select the type of mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Not all services provide both! You may want to refer to the information below for possible parameters.
- IMAP protocol will store the emails on the server and it will display a cached copy on your Android device. IMAP is recommended for almost all users.
- POP3 downloads the emails from the server and it will keep them on your device.
- Type the password for your mail address and click Next.
- Please refer to the following table to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
- Now click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Configuration Required for Sending E-mail (using SMTP)
- Once the parameters are typed in, you can click Next.
- Enable Require sign-in
- Please refer to the following table in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
- Tap Next. If you see an error, click Edit Settings.
