
Configuring Vodafone At Home Service for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)
With this post we will summarize how to set up Vodafone At Home Service using IMAP and SMTP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in an easy to follow language.
First, a few words about Vodafone At Home Service:
Vodafone Group Plc is a British multinational telecommunications company. Its registered office and global headquarters are in Newbury, Berkshire, England. It predominantly operates services in Asia, Africa, Europe, and Oceania. As of November 2020, Vodafone owns and operates networks in 22 countries, with partner networks in 48 further countries. Setting up Vodafone At Home Service:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add:
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't see your email service, select Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
Setup Required for Receiving Email
- Choose the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services support both options! Refer to the table below for available settings.
- IMAP protocol will keep the e-mails on the server, but it will show a cached copy on your device. IMAP is the recommended setting in most cases.
- POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will store them on your Android phone.
- Type the password for your email address and click Next.
- Please refer to the following information in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
- Tap Next. If there is an error, tap Edit Settings.

Settings Required for Sending E-mail
- After you enter the settings, you can tap Next.
- Enable Require sign-in
- Refer to the information below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
- Click Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.
