How to set up Barak for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)
In this blog we will demonstrate how to setup Barak using POP and SMTP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a straightforward fashion!

Configuring Barak
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
- In the top right, tap your profile picture.
- Tap Add another account.
- Choose the type of account you want to add:
- If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
- If you don't see your email service, select Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
Incoming E-mail Server Settings
- Select the type of email account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Not all services support both options. Please see the table below for available settings.
- IMAP keeps the emails on the server, and it will display a cached copy on your device. IMAP is the recommended setting for most users.
- POP3 will download the mails from the remote server and it will keep them on your Android phone.
- Type in the passphrase for the e-mail address and tap Next.
- Please use the information below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
- Click Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.

Username | Your username (do not include the part after the @ sign) |
Authentication | NONE |
SSL/TLS | No |
Outgoing Mail Configuration (via SMTP)
- After you type in the configuration, you can tap Next.
- Turn on Require sign-in
- Please see the following table in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
- Tap Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.
