How to set up W-link.net for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

In this post we will explain how to configure W-link.net using POP and SMTP for an Android Device in an easy to follow way.

Setting up W-link.net:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Settings Required for Receiving Email

  1. Select the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Some services may not provide both options! Refer to the table below for the correct parameters.
    • IMAP will store the mails on the server and it will keep a copy on your device. IMAP is the recommended protocol in most cases.
    • POP3 will download the mails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android device.
  2. Type the passphrase for your e-mail account and tap Next.
  3. Use the following information in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings settings.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Configuration Required for Sending E-mail (using SMTP)

  1. After you type the settings, click Next.
  2. Turn on Require sign-in
  3. Please refer to the table below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
  4. Tap Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
