How to configure xtra.co.nz for your Samsung Galaxy (Android)

Setting up xtra.co.nz:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Configuration Required for Receiving Email

1. Choose the type of e-mail account (either POP3 or IMAP) you want to use. Some services may not provide both options! Please see the information below for the correct parameters.
   • IMAP will store the mails on the server but it will display a cached copy on your device. IMAP is recommended for most users.
   • POP3 downloads the e-mails from the remote server and it will store them on your device.
2. Type the password for your mail address and click Next.
3. Please refer to the information below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
4. Tap Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.

Setup Required for Receiving E-mail using IMAP

Settings Required for Sending Mail

1. After you type in the parameters, click Next.
2. Enable Require sign-in
3. Refer to the table below to complete the Outgoing Server Settings page.
4. Now click Next. If there is an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
