How to set up Y7mail.com for a Samsung Galaxy (Android)

In this blog we will simply demonstrate configuring Y7mail.com using IMAP and SMTP for a Samsung Galaxy (Android) in a simple fashion.

Setting up Y7mail.com

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
  2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Add another account.
  4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
    • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
    • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
  5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Settings Needed for Receiving Email

  1. Select the type of email account (either POP3 or IMAP) you will use. Not all services provide both options. Refer to the information below for possible settings.
    • IMAP protocol will keep the mails on the server, but it will display a copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended setting in most cases.
    • POP3 downloads the mails from the remote server and it will store them on your Android phone.
  2. Enter the passphrase for your e-mail address and tap Next.
  3. Use the information below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings.
  4. Now click Next. If there is an error, click the Edit Settings button.

Configuration Needed for Sending E-mail (using SMTP)

  1. After you type the configuration, you can click Next.
  2. Enable Require sign-in
  3. Please see the following table to complete the Outgoing Server Settings settings.
  4. Click Next. If you see an error, tap the Edit Settings button.
