Configuring Ya.ru for an Android Device

How to setup Ya.ru:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the type of account you want to add:
   • If you check work or school emails through Outlook for Windows, select Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.
   • If you don't see your email service, select Other.
5. Enter your email address and tap Next.

Incoming Mail Setup

1. Choose the type of mail account (POP3 or IMAP) you will be using. Some services may not provide both. Refer to the information below for possible parameters.
   • IMAP protocol will store the mails on the server, but it will display a cached copy on your Android phone. IMAP is the recommended protocol in almost all cases.
   • POP3 will download the mails from the server and it will store them on your Android device.
2. Type in the password for the e-mail account and click Next.
3. Use the information below in order to complete the Incoming Server Settings page.
4. Click Next. If there is an error, click Edit Settings.

Incoming E-mail Server (IMAP) Setup

Settings Required for Sending Email (via SMTP)

1. After you type in the parameters, click Next.
2. Check Require sign-in
3. Refer to the table below in order to complete the Outgoing Server Settings.
4. Now click Next. If you see an error, tap Edit Settings.
